Job Training for Basic Computer Skills
Arizona: Phoenix, Tempe, Glendale, Mesa, Peoria, Chandler, etc.

Basic Computer Skill (BCS) is an Introduction to Computers. BCS-101 is designed for the person with little or "no" working knowledge of a computer. This course starts the student off with the basics of the computer - explaining the individual parts (monitors, printers, scanners, keyboard) and how these parts interact. This is followed by a more in-depth view of the internal workings of the computer - like the drives, memory and controller cards. Next, the student is exposed to the operating system (Windows, Linux) which allows the user to control the computer and add various software programs such as word processing, email, games, and other office related utilities. Students will be shown around portable computing devices like laptops and PALM (PDA) like devices. Finally, networks will be demonstrated, showing how to connect computers together in an office-like environment or to the Internet.

Those students wishing to further their computer knowledge should look into the MOUS (Microsoft Office User Specialists) program for additional office skills (secretary) or the beginning technical field of "A+ Certification".
